Q: Are the photographs manipulated to make them look like movie fantasy creatures?

A: No - this is how the photographer captured them. All pictures are taken on location in the intertidal zone in mostly remote regions of the Kimberley coast between Broome and Koolan Island. The coloured backgrounds are all natural light from the sands, water, red clay cliff (pindan) and mangrove forests of the region.

Q: How big are the animals?

A: Most of the animals in this collection are the size of an average fingernail.

A: They are mostly molluscs - a type of seashell with some tiny crabs as well.
